AppGate Trouble Shooter combines a number of Client Checks with Messages
and a diagnostic web page. It runs checks for all the common configuration
issues, which can cause users problems when they connect to their AppGate
Security Server. The dynamic portal then displays the results.
With a messaging function users even get suggestions how to solve a problems.
The combination of a test and a message with a suggestion how to solve the problem diminish the time for the
users looking for information and provides the support team with an accurate problem description.
Examples of checks currently performed:
- If port 80 already used?
- Is is possible to do entries to the host file?
- Check if specific patches from Microsoft are installed.
- Check the setting for mounting shares.
Is is also possible to customise tests to be performed if there are special requirements.
