Secure Print allows remote applications running on Terminal Servers, Unix servers and other remote
servers to print to printers located on the users' networks.
- Server acts a print spooler.
- When a user (i.e. at home) connects the printouts are sent to the client machine and are printed via local applications to a locally attached printer.
A central server at the bank runs batch jobs every night that generates a large amount of documents that are “printed” to a centrally placed AppGate server.
The Secure Print functionality in the AppGate server makes it possible for local bank employees around the country to securely retrieve their printouts when they come to
work in the morning. These documents can even automatically be sent to local printers in the office after successful authentication.
