Network security specialist aims to increase UK VAR by 100% with new products and applications, seeking new partners at Infosec
Leading network security specialist AppGate has signed up three new channel partners as part of its strategy to further extend market reach and double its UK reseller network during 2007.
PCS, Objectronix and IDSec are the latest VARs to have partnered with AppGate to resell its leading network access control and mobile access solutions. AppGate has announced it is embarking on a channel recruitment drive at Infosecurity 2007, as companies are looking to take a new approach to network security, and the concept of deperimeterised working gains increasing acceptance in the IT sector.
In order to meet the increased demand and anticipated growth, AppGate is investing heavily in its UK partner with a number of channel initiatives, including marketing development, consultancy support and reseller incentives, and will help target key areas of growth for AppGate, including, local government, banking and finance.
Robert Bigham, senior account manager at PCS said: "There is increasing demand within the marketplace for secure, flexible and mobile network access. In enabling secure access from any location and from any device, AppGates solutions will play a key role in meeting evolving business needs and the demand for more flexible, borderless working."
Jamie Bodley-Scott, UK and Ireland operations manager at AppGate said: "Traditional perimeter-based solutions no longer address the latest security threats or the needs of a deperimeterised working environment. By adopting a multi-layered approach, organisations can protect every device where company information is stored, processed or communicated - wherever that device happens to be. Partners such as PCS are key in helping us to increase awareness and highlight how a new approach to working practices requires a new approach to network design."
At Infosecurity Europe 2007, the company is demonstrating some of the key security, mobility and access control features of the Appgate solution, which provide secure remote access from any device such as laptops, smartphones, PDAs and home PCs, and which have been designed to offer simplified, centrally-managed administration and control for IT managers.
