AppGate VPN supports Tiger - the new OS X for Mac users.

AppGate users that want to enjoy the new operating system for Mac can start downloading the new Tiger operating system without problem.


AppGate as an access control and policy enforcement system supports Tiger and many other operating systems including PDAs and Windows.

“Over the last year we have seen an increasing interest in Macs from our customers and Tiger has increased that interest further. We have received many questions asking if we will support it from the start, due to the fact that other less advanced VPNs seem to struggle with support for Mac. This has also lead us to believe that Mac users will upgrade to Tiger faster than usual” says Goran Marby, CEO AppGate Network Security.

The reason why AppGate can so easily support a change or upgrade is the use of Java, that makes AppGate independent of which web browser, operating system or device the customer is using.
